During the last ETSI ISG mWT #7 meeting, NOKIA presented a contribution on “New Antennas Classification” as a contribution to current Work Item #27 mWT “Use of innovative antenna systems”. Scope of the contribution was to rise the attention on new antenna approaches enabled by the use of frequency bands above 100GHz. This antennas’ classification has been considered necessary to assist the work of Regulators and Standardization bodies. In this contest, DREAM solution has been quoted as one of the most advanced arrangement an active antenna may have, since it includes beam-steering, beam forming, flexible duplexer operation and full duplexer enabled by the use of different antenna for the transmitter and the receiver.
