DREAM researcher received the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society’s predoctoral achievement award for 2019-2020

DREAM researcher Mahmoud Mahdipour Pirbazari from the University of Pavia has received a predoctoral achievement award by the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society  https://sscs.ieee.org/membership/awards/predoctoral-achievement-award?highlight=WyJwcmVkb2N0b3JhbCIsImF3YXJkIiwiYXdhcmQncyJd.

AIC Lab of the University of Pavia is responsible for designing the D-band local oscillation (LO) chain to be used in the DREAM’s wireless link supporting data rates up to 100 Gbps at ultra-high carriers in the frequency range 130 GHz-174.8 GHz. Mahmoud, a Ph.D. student at AIC Lab since 2017, is doing his Ph.D. research activity within the framework of DREAM and is involved in designing a frequency multiplyer chip in STMicroelectronics process to deliver an LO signal in D-band using a low-frequency signal source. He has presented some of his initial results in ESSCIRC2019.
